Football And Peace
In each book, I use the prologue to express a message of peace, brotherbhood and friendship. This case is different, as there are many messages of goodwill that arrived from all latitudes of this earth, written by men wh govern and administer football on diffeernt countries and continents. They are the ones that reoresente the 6 Confederations and 207 Member Associations of FIFA. As the initial message, we received the document of the President of FIFA Mr. Joseph S. Blatter in 2003, who guarantees his total adhesion to worldwide Peace. The numerous and various expressions of all these messages were the echoes of one single concept, "Football and Peace" which have always held each other's hands. In this piece of work, all Presidents' views concurred and all were combined under the same motto; it highlights that football, being a passion shared by masses, is the best communicative channel and the most propitous to transmit a necessary and immediate culture of Peace. When a visionary and dean of football Mr. Julio Grondona, Vice-president of FIFA, announced this program of Peace to Mr.Blatter, we all realized that the President of GIGA was from a long tme in hjuman harmony with the concept. He did not doubt a moment and contributed with a trasured letter encouraging the FIFA Member Associations and offering credibility to our management. Ita also gave us the determination to unite our strenghts in order to collaborate with more than 50 colleagues in the field of mass media in different countries, driving ahead this ambitious project that makes reference to football and peace in the world. Today it begins with expressions of humanity and memories of historic facts, which show us that football has contributed in numerous occasions in favour of peace. It should continue like a focue annexed to this sporting discipline, by joining the good predispositions of these high leaders of football, in trasforming these goodwill desires in quick realities.
